Nemo sleeping bags

At Nemo Equipment in New Hampshire they are racking their brains since 2002 to build top level outdoor tents, adopting innovative solutions and new materials… and (we believe) they do it successfully.

Always committed to reduce their impact on the environment, they also diffuse their "green thoughts" through concrete actions for the protection of local areas (and Go Out Project likes this very much!).

They have been producing inflatable tents, mats and pillows with the idea of building a whole sleep system for the outdoor. They have now completed the circle with sleeping bags. From this summer they have started sewing a small production of bags, in advance of the 2013 launch in stores.

It's really nice to see Nemo's efforts, also in this new field, to keep experimenting new designs and innovative ideas. For example, finally diverging from the traditional "mummy shape", the new "spoon shape" adopted on some of the new Nemo sleeping bags is thought to give more freedom of movement to elbows and knees during the sleep.

The "limited edition" of Nemo's sleeping bags, only available online, is composed of 9 models, 2 of which are specifically designed for women: from an arctic expedition model to a duvet that can be used as a cozy blanket for the house or as a sleeping bag for the outdoor excursions during the weekend, both down filled or in Primaloft Synergy, and featuring inventive solutions.

We can't wait to test them!
